This weekend the borough welcomes wine tastings, wellness workshops, catacomb concerts, mushroom farmers, NFT artists, and more.

Here’s the rundown:

Friday, October 8

Death and Shadows: Ulysses Quartet, In the Catacombs
6 to 9 p.m.
Death of Classical returns with a chamber music concert in the depths of the Green-Wood Cemetery Catacombs. The prestigious Ulysses Quartet will perform, and guests are treated to a curated whiskey tasting before the show. Keep in mind: the journey to the Catacombs is hilly, and comfortable footwear is recommended. Tickets are $80.

Patton Oswalt Live: Who’s Ready to Laugh?
8 p.m.
Actor and comedian Patton Oswalt is headlining at the Kings Theatre in Flatbush with an all-new comedy set. Oswalt, aside from appearing in too many TV shows and films to count, has won Grammy and Emmy awards for his Netflix special “Patton Oswalt: Talking for Clapping.” Tickets start at $39

Influences: An Immersive NFT Experience
8:45 p.m.
Digital artists Sutu and RubenFro have curated groundbreaking visual effects and virtual reality exhibitions around the world. This weekend, they bring their talents to Bushwick with an immersive exhibition featuring prominent and emerging artists from NFT Collective and La Casa Arthouse. On Friday, Influences will host an opening showcase and party, with live performances from Sinego and ORIGINSTØRY. Tickets start at $80

Indistry presents: The Pink Party 
8-10 p.m.
Founded by Amsi in 2019 in order to raise money to support women’s health during the month of October (which is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, Pregnancy & Infant Loss Awareness Month and International Day of Girl), the Pink Party’s benefit concert is back. This year, Amsi partnered with Indistry Media to host the annual event, featuring performances by Ansi and Goldilocks. Proceeds will be donated to Planned Parenthood of Greater New York to deliver vital sexual and reproductive health care. A live stream and donation link will also be available for those unable to attend in-person. Starr Bar, 214 Starr St. $10.

Saturday, October 9

Egg Shop x Border Town Pop Up
8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Egg Shop and Border Town tortillería are teaming up for a one-day pop up at Egg Shop’s Williamsburg location. Choose from a special menu that spotlights Border Town’s Sonoran-style handmade flour tortillas. A portion of proceeds will benefit Border Kindness, a non-profit providing shelter, food, transportation, and other critical services to families and individuals seeking asylum.

New York African Restaurant Week Festival
12 to 7 p.m.
Celebrate African Restaurant Week at a vendor-packed festival and dance party in Flatbush. The lineup of local restaurants includes Delicious African Orchards (representing Nigeria), Chef Big Mo (Ghana), Chez Julia Mae (Trinidad/Haiti), Betty Ethiopian Kitchen (Ethiopia), Fleurimond Catering (Haiti) 2BigYai (Guinea), Saharan Kilishi (Nigeria), Gold Coast NYC (Ghana), Chef Bongo (Congo), Isra Gordon (Grenada), Mama Tee Catering (Nigeria), and Kombit – Earth Sunshine (Haiti). Brooklyn Wine Fest
1 to 9:30 p.m.
Head over to the Brooklyn Expo Center in Greenpoint to travel the world of wine. Admission to the festival grants you unlimited access to hundreds of local and international wines. Tickets start at $60, with a $15 ticket option available for designated drivers.

Sedona, Halima and Earth Dad at Elsewhere 
6 to 9 p.m.
Brooklyn based dirty pop band Sedona is performing at Elsewhere this weekend. The electrifying girl group is joined by New York artist and producer Halima and indie group Earth Dad. This 16+ concert costs $12

Sunday, October 10

Mycelium Harvest Workshop
12 to 7 p.m.
Pioneer Works Second Sundays is back with a free workshop by Smallhold farms. Learn about the mysterious world of fungi, shop for fresh mushrooms, and snag your own grow kit. From 3-4, Smallhold will also be hosting a garden demo centered around mushrooms and compost. Check out the full lineup of activities, performances, workshops, vendors and installations hosted by Pioneer Works on Sunday.

Phoenix Flow Festival
12 to 6 p.m.
Phoenix Community Garden is offering wellness workshops, a marketplace, and live music to celebrate the fall harvest season. This family-friendly festival includes a free BBQ lunch and performances from Haile Supreme, Zaven, Bri Blvck, Royal Pain, Tan Brown, and Yvette Williams.

BAM’s R&B Festival
4 to 7 p.m.
Join the Brooklyn Academy of Music for their 26th annual concert series in Fort Greene Park. On Sunday, Tennessee-bred singer-songwriter Valerie June brings her blend of folk, soul, gospel, country, blues, psychedelia, and symphonic pop to the stage. L.A.-based folk-punk musician, Sunny War, will open. This beloved outdoor festival is free and open to the public.

Horror, Gore, and Zombies: A DIY Halloween Make-Up & SFX Workshop
4-6 p.m.
SparklePunk and Footlight Presents are hosting an all ages special effects makeup class for your Halloween costume. Learn how to make your own SFX blood and DIY prosthetics. The Windjammer bar, 552 Grandview Ave. Advance tickets are $15 or pay $20 at the door.
