BKMF will strike the balance between the worldly and the local with a range of bands that are both familiar to many and ready to be discovered. The music itself will span genres, and the concert-going experience will be augmented with experiences from local artists, food vendors and more. Get your tickets now before they’re gone.
But wait, there’s more. We’ll also be hosting fireside talks earlier in the week (June 15 and 16) at Dumbo Loft with the cultural, creative and political elite of the borough to discuss emerging trends in our communities. The full package will be a can’t-miss event that we’ll be thrilled to replicate in future years as well. Confirmed speakers for our fireside chats include: Comedians Wyatt Cenac and Donwill; City Councilors Justin Brannan, Shahana Hanif and Chi Ossé; Humble Bloom CEO Solonje Burnett; Charlie O’Donnell, founder, Brooklyn Bridge Ventures; Matt Abdoo and Shane McBride of Pig Beach; Rami Haykal of Elsewhere; a virtual reality exhibit from the Museum of Future Experience and more to be announced.
After the talks, head out into the streets for Brooklyn Magazine-sponsored club shows, throughout the run of all four nights. Venues include Elsewhere, Brooklyn Made, House of Yes, Baby’s All Right, Sultan Room, Littlefield, Friends & Lovers, Our Wicked Lady, Purgatory and will feature the following bands, the next big things beloved locally and rocking headphones all over the world:
Jessy Lanza – Mykki Blanco – Poliça
