Now you can experience the world of ‘Stranger Things’ for yourself
In advance of the series return on May 27, the hit Netflix show has been recreated as an immersive experience at the Navy Yard
You can now head into the uʍop ǝpᴉsdn in Brooklyn: Netflix has opened an “immersive experience” (buzzword alert!) for its hit series “Stranger Things.” Located at the Duggal Greenhouse in the Navy Yard, the 35,000-square-foot exhibit transports people back into the 1980s and plunges them into world of supernatural mystery.
Fans are treated to a brand new storyline, where they enter Hawkins Lab and, ultimately, the Upside Down that propels them “into a parallel universe where they must unlock their secret powers to face the gauntlet of lurking terrors and help save the town,” according to a release.
While Millie Bobby Brown might not be there in person, she and her co-stars Gaten Matarazzo and Finn Wolfhard guide fans through a pre-recorded tour of the experience. The series itself returns on May 27.
For those unfamiliar with whatever that means, there’s also food, drinks inspired by the show and a retail store since Netflix can use the money. Tickets for the 45-minute experience cost between $30 to a spooky $72 depending on age and admission type.
