Looklyn: Kyle and Dylan get to the church on time
Life advice from a street style duo: "Do absolutely whatever you want so long as you don’t do harm unto others" ... and make your bed!
Street style is not quite the same thing as fashion. It’s more personal … and more performative. It’s rooted in self, and it’s an outward expression of attitude, vibe, swag, panache, aspiration, time and place.
For the past couple of years now, photographer Johnny Cirillo has been prowling the streets of Greenpoint and beyond holding a mirror up to the borough to show us how we dress now — and what it says about who we are. This is Looklyn.
In time for summer, this is one of his recent sightings.

About the fit: I’m wearing a hat from a local store in the Lower East Side, thrifted jacket that I cut the bottom off of to make a skirt for my friend, a thrifted tank top and shorts, and a pair of unethically sourced shoes from a fast-fashion brand called Koi.
About me: A happily confused and joyful little gay boy from Virginia who moved to NYC three days after graduating high school to become something bigger than myself and my upbringing.
Thoughts on life: Always fall in love, always trust the process, and never count yourself out.
