Good job, you made it to the weekend. Here are some highlights from around the borough to check out over the next few days.
The 12th annual Greenpoint Film Festival is on all weekend through Sunday. Don’t feel like sitting still? Tonight, Indigo De Souza plays the Lena Horne Bandshell at BRIC Celebrate Brooklyn! and if you don’t have a date for that, Tinder is throwing a meet-cute party.
Spike Lee will host a pop-up sale at his Fort Greene headquarters on Saturday and the LeFrak Center in Prospect Park hosts a Roller Dance later that evening. End the weekend with a laugh on Sunday at Union Hall or C’mon Everybody with a night of comedy.

The 12th annual Greenpoint Film Festival
Runs through August 6
Brooklyn’s Greenpoint Film Festival returns for indoor screenings for the first time in two years, now through Sunday, culminating with Saim Sadiq’s “Joyland” as the closing night film. The festival includes 48 films (10 features, 38 shorts), with screenings at The Boiler/ELM Foundation. Film industry catering favorites Wilson Rivas Crafts will have a food truck on the premises providing concessions for filmgoers and attendees. 191 N. 14th Street. Tickets are $15 per movie.
Restaurant Week
Now through August 20
Restaurant Week is officially back and Brooklyn has 44 restaurants participating in the event, which is actually a monthlong grub fest, happening now through August 20. This year, there are more options at different price points. Many participating restaurants are offering two-course lunches for $30, $45 or $60, and three-course dinners for $30, $45 or $60. Reservations are now open and MasterCard owners are eligible for an extra discount at some restaurants.

Indigo De Souza at BRIC Celebrate Brooklyn!

Known for her intimate, confessional-like lyricism, Indigo De Souza isn’t afraid to confront themes of grief and impermanence in her music. Her transparency of spirit invites warmth and familiarity, pulling the audience into her world. Binki at the Music Hall of Williamsburg

Binki’s fresh voice blends indie rock, hip-hop and funk into bedroom pop that sounds somewhere between Prince and TV on the Radio. Binki has some of the best new music to grace the Music Hall of Williamsburg this year. 16+. 66 N 6th St, Brooklyn. Tickets are $29.
Rooftop Films presents ‘Scrapper’
8 p.m. doors, 8:30 p.m. live music, 9 p.m. film begins
Rooftop Films will show the New York premiere of “Scrapper” on Friday night at the Old American Can Factory. Winner of the World Cinema Dramatic Grand Jury Prize at the 2023 Sundance Film Festival, “Scrapper” follows Georgie, a dreamy 12-year-old girl, who lives happily alone in her London flat, filling it with magic. Suddenly, her estranged father turns up and forces her to confront reality. 232 Third Street. Tickets are $19.
Tinder’s Single Summer Series
9 p.m.
Tinder is looking to help singles find summer love with the viral dating sensation Chaotic Singles Party. Tinder will be hosting a live dating event on Friday, August 4 at The Moxy in Williamsburg, designed to take the pressure off meeting someone new and bridge the gap between online and offline dating. Tinder members in New York can buy one ticket that’s good for a plus-one, themselves and the match who they’re interested in getting to know better. 353 Bedford Avenue. Tickets are $25.

Brooklyn Beach Sports Festival
9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Why lounge on the beach when you can sport on the beach? NYC Parks is partnering with National Calisthenics Awards, Bring Back BK and Rockstar Entertainment to host competitive and non-competitive activities alike. Think calisthenics displays, tug o’ war, cornhole, meditative stretching, jenga and more. Kick off your flip flops and come play at Coney Island. West 10th Street Boardwalk Entrance. Ready, Set, Kindergarten!
11 a.m.
In this Greenpoint Library class, families will engage in activities designed to encourage the development of early learning practices. You will explore literacy, science and math through music, stories, art and play to help your child be ready for school on day one. You also receive free materials to continue learning at home. Spike Lee’s pop-up stoop sale

Filmmaker and Knicks fan Spike Lee welcomes the community to a pop-up stoop sale on Saturday. Spike writes, “The Spike’s Joint Pop Up Stoop Sale Is Going Down This Weekend At The World HQ Of 40 Acres & A Mule Featuring Specially Priced Items And Limited Edition Product. I’ll Also Be On Hand To Sign Special Items! You Don’t Wanna Miss This!” It’s anyone’s guess what Spike will have on sale — maybe Mookie’s Dodgers jersey? Lakeside Roller Dance Night

Dirty Circus Variety Show

Created and curated by House of Yes Co-Founder Anya Sapozhnikova, the Dirty Circus Variety Show will unfold in three acts. “A variety show dedicated to the raw and the raunchy,” this is not for the faint of heart. The Hidden Ecology of Prospect Park After Dark

Discover the nocturnal wonders of Prospect Park on Saturday with a starlit expedition led by urban naturalist Gabriel Willow. Cocktail Magique

An evening of circus, cocktails, and burlesque awaits you at Company XIV on Saturday. Cocktail Magique is a mixological adventure where every guest receives petite cocktails and small bites while burlesque stars pour cocktails from the speakeasy bar. ‘Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem’ in theaters

Brooklyn Museum Pop-up Market

Brooklyn Pop-up meets every Sunday for a weekly artisan market with 30-plus vendors at Brooklyn Museum. Hosted at the museum’s front plaza, this year the pop-up expands its food offerings and will offer new activations and other initiatives to bring Brooklyn together. 200 Eastern Parkway. Free.

Gay Church
8 p.m.
Join comedian and musician Tessa Skara (HBO’s “High Maintenance,” “Little America”) and their house band GAY TEARS as they worship at the altar of queerness on Sunday night at C’mon Everybody.
