One of the ‘world’s 50 best bars’ is now serving drinks at Barclays Center
The West Village bar Dante is the latest Manhattan staple to open an outpost in Brooklyn's biggest arena
Dante, the acclaimed West Village bar, is taking trip across the bridge and serving drinks in Brooklyn—for a select few.
Fancy people sitting in the suite levels and court-side ticket holders that have access to the Qatar Airways Club can now sip on Dante’s famous cocktails at the remaining dozen Nets home games.
Dante said on its website that the six cocktails, served either in tap form or in bottles featuring “reimagined artwork of Dante’s popular labels in a graffiti style—a nod to the Nets’ Brooklyn identity,” were designed as a “special tribute” to Brooklyn.
Here’s whats on the menu:
- Cuba Libre (on tap) with Bacardí Reserva Ocho Rum, cherry heering, chocolate and cherry bitters and Fever-Tree cola
- Rum Punch (on tap) with Bacardí Reserva Ocho Rum, passionfruit, pineapple, lime and Fever-Tree grapefruit soda
- Rum Old Fashioned (bottled) with Bacardí Reserva Ocho Rum, PX Sherry, chocolate and orange bitters
- Dante’s Negroni (bottled) with Bombay Sapphire Gin, martini bitter and Martini & Rossi Vermouth
Dante opened in 1915 and is a favorite of regulars and tourists alike for its martinis and negronis. Its celebrated cocktail program has earned it a place “50 World’s Best Bars” list in 2019. Fun fact: It also made a brief appearance in the “Sex and the City” reboot “And Just Like That” a few weeks ago.
Dante isn’t the only Manhattan establishment to open up shop at Barclays. Earlier this basketball season, Major Food Group opened a court-side club called the Crown Club that serves some dishes from Carbone, like the spicy rigatoni.
