Myrtle Avenue is getting its first-ever restaurant week
The nine-day event kicks off Feb. 17 with three-course dinners priced between $20 and $40, depending on the establishment
For those that are worried about going through withdrawal once restaurant week ends, we’ve found your fix.
The first-ever Myrtle Avenue Restaurant Week begins on February 17. The event features nine restaurants in Fort Greene and Clinton Hill offering a three-course dinner priced between $20 and $40 depending on the establishment. And, like its city-wide companion, the “week” is liberally defined: This event actually lasts nine days, without any blackout dates.
“As local restaurants continue to bounce back from many impacts over the past few years, it seemed like the perfect opportunity to launch a new Restaurant Week on Myrtle Avenue,” Chad Purkey, the executive director of Myrtle Avenue Brooklyn Partnership, tells Brooklyn Magazine.
Restaurants featuring a variety of cuisines are participating, including Mexican, Thai, Chinese and British food.
“The event offers diners an incentive to visit Myrtle Avenue’s great collection of restaurants, with great deals offered as both a thank you to loyal customers and an incentive for diners to perhaps discover something new,” Purkey adds.
