Lavender Lake has found a new home in, where else?, Williamsburg
The beloved Gowanus bar is relocating north and opening on March 4 after more than a two-year absence
Lavender Lake, the cocktail bar formerly located in Gowanus, has found a new home in Brooklyn.
On Instagram, the bar announced that it will reopen on March 4 at 53 Broadway near the Williamsburg Bridge. The plans have been several months in the making, but it’s finally official following the approval of the state’s liquor board.
Its former space was known for its sprawling outdoor patio. However, its new Williamsburg location has a bigger interior and a beautiful new bar. Owner Amanda Jacques told Eater that the new menu stays “true to our roots as far as our food program goes.”
A peek of its menu online shows burgers, salads and a number of shared plates. A cocktail menu has not yet been posted.
Lavender Lake was forced to close its Gowanus location in December 2021 following a decade-long run because the building was being demolished. A similar rezoning issue recently forced Pig Beach BBQ from its Gowanus location late last year.
