James Beard finalist Ursula will move to Bed-Stuy April 12
The popular New Mexican eatery will close in Crown Heights on April 2 for a long-planned move to offer sit-down dining and a full bar
Ursula, the beloved Crown Heights purveyor of a bomb breakfast burrito, has made it officially official. The 2022 James Beard finalist announced on Instagram that they will be serving their last meal in their current location April 2 before moving to Bed-Stuy.
The eatery had announced in January that the plan was to move from Sterling Place to 387 Nostrand Avenue, near Madison Street, sometime in spring, according to Eater.
“Sometime” has arrived: The new Ursula opens on April 12. Both locations will be closed between April 3 and 11.

Along with the new location will come a full bar with an emphasis on LGBTQ+-owned distilleries and brewers, and a new website.
Ursula first opened mid-pandemic, in fall of 2020, as a takeout spot by Awkward Scone bakery owner Eric See, who has become a leader in the queer food space. Ursula’s arrangement in Crown Heights had always been temporary and the move comes as the popular spot had outgrown its space.
