Brooklyn Tweets of the Week: Eric Adams clinches the nom, a snake escapes, bagel advice for newbies
A roundup of (some of) our favorite locally sourced tweets for the week ending July 9
Independence Day was clearly 10 months ago, and yet it was also less than a week ago. How is this possible?
A lot happened this week. Brooklyn Borough President Eric Adams became the Democratic Party nominee in the mayoral race and a snake got loose in Bed-Stuy. (We’re pretty sure the two are completely unrelated.)
Joey Chestnut broke his own world record by eating 76 hot dogs in 10 minutes. And Uber taught us to love the G train again.
If you see something, say something: Be sure to tag us if you see anything that should be noted next week. Have a great weekend!
I grew up poor in Brooklyn & Queens. I wore a bulletproof vest to keep my neighbors safe. I served my community as a State Senator & Brooklyn Borough President. And I’m honored to be the Democratic nominee to be the Mayor of the city I’ve always called home.
