Brooklyn Tweets of the Week: Hurricane Ida edition
A handful of the most evocative tweets from the eye of the storm this Wednesday
Last night, the tail-end of Hurricane Ida wreaked havoc in Brooklyn and Queens. For the first time in its history, the National Weather Service in New York issued a Flash Flood Emergency warning for the area.
New Yorkers took to social media to document the storm. Videos in Brooklyn show flooded subways, damage to basement apartments, and cars nearly submerged in rain.
If you experienced damage from the floods you can file a claim with the city. Here are a handful of the most evocative tweets.
