Brooklyn Tweets of the Week: Wizkid, vicious squirrels, and a new bike lane
A roundup of (some of) our favorite locally sourced tweets for the week ending September 17
This week was a good one, judging by your tweets. Wizkid’s Celebrate Brooklyn! performance destroyed in Prospect Park … in a good way, a vicious squirrel was on the loose in Carroll Gardens, and the Brooklyn Bridge (finally) got a bike lane (such as it is?).
If you see something, say something: Be sure to tag us if you see anything that should be noted next week. Have a great weekend! Get out there while it’s still summer …

After decades of advocacy, the Brooklyn Bridge bike lane is now open! Thank you to @NYC_DOT and all of the @TransAlt @bridges4people #bikenyc and other advocates who fought to make this happen. Now, onto the next one! #bridges4people pic.twitter.com/bx30WFoXMK

If you’d asked me a decade ago which prime Williamsburg stores would still be open in 2021, there’s just no way my money would have been on “Mikey’s Hook Up”

I walked through park slope last weekend after going to Prospect Park and it was very funny to see single-owner brownstones with “we welcome all in this home” knowing they pay security patrols to keep the homeless out of the area
