Brooklyn Tweets of the Week: Halloween and fall foliage edition
A roundup of (some of) our favorite tweets for the week ending November 5, plus New York's first female Muslim Councilmember
This week, Twitter dissects Halloween and finds: Steve Buscemi dressed as his iconic “fellow kids” meme, Brooklyn dads are all Ted Lasso, and a very good boy wins a blue ribbon as a hot dog cart. Also Brooklyn-born Shahana Hanif becomes the first Muslim woman elected to the New York City Council.
As always, if you see something, say something: Be sure to tag us if you see anything that should be noted next week. Have a great weekend.
I was born & raised in Brooklyn. I’m the daughter of Bangladeshi Muslim immigrants, a Lupus survivor, & an activist.
I’m humbled to be the first Muslim woman elected to the New York City Council and the first woman to represent my district. WE DID IT 😭✊🏽https://t.co/XjuSiPkOxF

I love holy-shit-nature small talk. Like the gentleman in Prospect Park who said “ain’t it something else?” when he saw me taking a photo of this Very Good Tree. 💚 pic.twitter.com/K4DWHRYTQA

williamsburg has big 2010 energy. there’s places called like, Provisions, and all the bartenders still look like they’re in “hey! ho!” bands (overalls, extremely coiffed mustaches)

Just saw a 30s-ish white guy with glasses and a little beard standing and drinking coffee on a corner in Park Slope while wearing an @NPR tee shirt and honestly not sure if this is a costume or what.
