Brooklyn Tweets of the Week: Hail! Corgis! Blue velvet cake?
A roundup of (some of) our favorite locally sourced tweets for the week ending November 19
If it hails in Brooklyn and you’re not on Twitter, does it even hail? Fortunately our tweeters were prepared—with sweaters for their wee corgis, blue velvet cake and maple lattes. (Incidentally, did you know thati the etymologically correct plural form of “corgi” is “corgwn?” Now you do.)
And when the weather cleared, there were leaves to be peeped and brunches to brunch. And we saw that it was good. And we tweeted anon.
If you see something, say something: Be sure to tag us if you see anything that we should include next week. Have a great weekend!

The Black Lives Matter signs of last summer in the windows of brownstones in Boreum Hill, Cobble Hill, Park Slope and Carroll Gardens have slowly receded, ever so steadily, like some blessed virtue signaling tide.

just learned that the adorable preschool i walk past in clinton hill that uses words like “inclusivity” and “community” in its marketing costs more for toddlers than tuition at Pratt right around the corner

My manager says I’m not chubby, I’m “zaftig.” And if you’ve never heard a Brooklyn-Caribbean black man use Yiddish slang before, let me tell you it’s amazing.
