Tweets of the week: Lena Dunham’s ‘Real Housewives’ pitch, plus Dyker Heights on ‘shrooms!
Also, James Cameron gets a little too revealing about the Spider-Man movie he never got to, uh, shoot on the Brooklyn Bridge
Every week we here at Brooklyn Magazine read the entire internet in order to curate (some of) our favorite tweets from the previous seven days. These are locally sourced, hand-crafted, organically grown, free range nuggets of wisdom and jest.
This week the annual over-the-top Dyker Heights Christmas light display is back, and we learn there are wholesome ways to enjoy them—and less-than-wholesome ways.
Also, we meet Bushwick’s “final boss,” learn the rules of the road in Bay Ridge, pick up a little local Christmas music trivia and witness some very Cobble Hill graffiti. Best of all? VIP tweeter Lena Dunham serves up a brilliant pitch for a Brooklyn-based reality show. And James Cameron reveals the … sticky … Brooklyn Bridge sex scene he never got to film. For which we are grateful.
If you see something, tweet something. Be sure to alert us to any Brooklyn-based tweets and we might include them in next week’s roundup. We also might not. Have a great weekend! (Here are 14 things to check out in Brooklyn this weekend.)
