Take a look inside Brooklyn’s priciest listing
A Dumbo penthouse is asking for $19.5 million, making it the borough's most expensive listing currently on the market
Are you house hunting with a $20 million budget and looking for sunset views? We have the space for you.
A penthouse located in the newly opened condo building Olympia Dumbo is asking for $19.5 million, earning it the distinction of being the borough’s most expensive listing currently on the market.
Clocking in at nearly 5,000 square feet, the five-bedroom and four-and-a-half-bath condo has 360-degree views of the entire city from its 552-square foot terrace. No weird nipple light fixtures or cheap subway tile here, as it’s outfitted with high-end finishes throughout, including pricey Fior di Bosco stone slab, top-end maple cabinetry, and sleek Gaggenau appliances.
You don’t have to mingle with the common public folk either, because access to the 32nd floor unit is through a private elevator. However, if you’re feeling social The Olympia, located at 30 Front Street, is loaded with amenities that rivals a Carnival Cruise including two pools (indoor and outdoor, natch), fitness center with steam and sauna, a “movement studio,” and a bowling alley. There’s also an included parking space, so that accounts for at least, like, half the price tag.
If this sounds like something that you might see on Million Dollar Listing New York, you’d be correct. Bravo’s Frederik Eklund is one of the listing agents, so perhaps a cameo on the show is also included.
6sqft.com notes that if the $19.5 million asking price is achieved, it will be “among the borough’s most expensive sales ever.” For now, a $25.5 million townhouse that sold last year in Brooklyn Heights holds that title. A nearby penthouse in the Quay Tower sold for about $20 million last year is in second place.
If you purchase it, invite us over for the housewarming. We’ll splurge for at least a $20 bottle of wine.
