Brooklyn is finally repped again in the new season of ‘Real Housewives of New York’
Dumbo's Sai De Silva joins the show, making her the first BK housewife in a decade. This season also boasts the first queer Housewife
Bravo’s “Real Housewives of New York City” has been left without Brooklyn representation ever since the great Alex McCord left the show more than a decade ago. Thankfully, that’s about to change.
Dumbo resident Sai De Silva is joining the rebooted show, the network announced at BravoCon Sunday. She’s a mother of two and is the creative director of Scout the City, a “passion project blog and quickly evolved into an online lifestyle destination,” according to a press release.
She’s an influencer too, having amassed nearly 400,000 followers on Instagram, 134,000 followers on TikTok and 50,000 subscribers on YouTube. A quick glance shows plenty of pictures of herself in fashionable clothing, makeup tutorials and cute little videos with her kiddos. There’s also enough flaunting of her wealth, making her an ideal RHONY cast member.
And her Brooklyn ties run deep since she was born and raised here. After moving around a lot in her twenties, she came back to the borough because she said it “always had my heart.” As for living in Dumbo, she says she loves it since it “still has that charged feeling” and “it’s right by the city so I can easily hop back and forth, and the neighborhood is trendy while still having a small-town feel.”

Her favorite restaurant is in Dumbo Cecconi’s because of its “amazing menu” and the staff knows her on a first name basis. Perhaps it will play host to an overly dramatic fight between her and one of her new cast mates. Also new to the show is former J. Crew creative director and president (and the show’s first gay housewife) Jenna Lyons.
Bravo said the new season, its 14th, will premiere next year.
